Some of the literacy based strategies include making cross-language connections (Metalanguage) and Interactive Read Aloud. This seminar is one of a series of workshops aimed at developing biliteracy. The goals of this series are to develop an awareness of what research says about the importance of metalanguage\, literacy-based ELD and identify teaching approaches that develop biliterate reading.
