An Educator’s Perspective: Applying the WIDA ELD Standards Framework in Lesson and Unit-Level Planning

This workshop supports educators in applying the WIDA English Language Development (ELD) Framework to lesson- and unit-level planning. Participants will explore how to use the framework to clarify language expectations, align content and language objectives, and design instruction that intentionally supports multilingual learners. Through examples and guided practice, educators will strengthen their ability to plan lessons and units that promote meaningful language development alongside grade-level content.
