The Statewide Summit for Bilingual Parents will take place on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 at the Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Hills Resort & Conference Center in Oak Brook.
In sessions throughout the day, conference presenters will address various important topics to help BPAC members in their roles and responsibilities.
These topics include:
- Equitable funding and services for ELs
- Family engagement
- Pre-K—Grade 12 educational programs and services
- Higher education opportunities
- Parental leadership and advocacy
- Immigrant and community issues
Interpreters will be available in various languages including Spanish, Polish and Arabic.
At registration, it is important that you indicate if you will need an interpreter and in which language.
Schedule of the Day: Check in will begin at 7:30 am. Conference activities begin at 9:00 AM and end by 4:30 pm. A reception for all participants ends the day.
Registration: $30 per person. Visa/Mastercard and Purchase Orders accepted. No refunds. Space is limited. Districts may register up to 8 people to attend: 6 bilingual PAC members and 2 school representatives. Breakfast and Lunch are included.
Registration and substitution deadline: April 18, 2025.
There is a block of sleeping rooms available. Deadline for room reservation is April 18, 2025.
