Join me for an exploration of how to integrate metalinguistic development into phonics instruction for Dual Language and Bilingual educators. 

  • We will examine some simple ways to provide bilingual learners with opportunities to make connections between Spanish and English during Spanish literacy instruction.
  • We will consider opportunities to capitalize on connecting languages to enhance student learning and maximize instructional time across languages.
  • We will explore ways to integrate the way we teach foundational skills across SLA and ELA without having to keep instruction separate
