 Developing Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS) for Multilingual Learners (MLs) within Dual Language Immersion (DLE) Programs

This workshop will provide guidance to those interested in implementing MTSS with MLs in Dual Language Education (DLE) programs through:

  • Exploring the socio-cultural context of educating MLs and frameworks for developing more culturally and linguistically responsive multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS)
  • Examining seven integral factors that impact achievement for MLs and the process for collecting data and monitoring student progress within these factors
  • Introducing a collaborative model of information gathering and service provision and delivering a continuum of services
  • Discussing specific and systemic intervention within a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) along all seven factors

TARGET AUDIENCE: teachers, interventionists, MTSS team members educators and practitioners who support MLs
