• We will explore how to engage students in Spanish literacy and oracy by using fun and popular trabalenguas, dichos, and adivinanzas.
• We will examine how these non-traditional types of texts can be used as a way to teach foundational literacy skills by providing students with many different examples of Spanish language and culture.
• We will also look at examples for using trabalenguas, dichos, and adivinanzas in Spanish Language Arts, as well as connecting to English Language Arts for metalinguistic development.
