 Developing Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS) for Multilingual Learners (MLs) with a Focus on Tier 1

This workshop will provide guidance to those interested in implementing MTSS with MLs with a Focus on Tier 1  through:

• Exploring the socio-cultural context of educating MLs and frameworks for developing more culturally and linguistically responsive multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS)
• Examining seven integral factors that impact achievement for MLs and the process for collecting data and monitoring student progress within these factors
• Introducing a collaborative model of information gathering and service provision and delivering a continuum of services
• Discussing specific and systemic intervention within a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) along all seven factors

TARGET AUDIENCE: teachers, interventionists, MTSS team members educators and practitioners who support MLs
