Exploring Academic Language in Content Areas School-wide

Teachers will receive evidence-based strategies and share ideas on strengthening academic language across disciplines. We will explore how academic language is used in content areas such as Language Arts, Science, Math, Music, and Physical Education with the ultimate goal of implementing a culturally responsive curriculum school-wide. This workshop content will be beneficial for ESL/Bilingual Teachers, Dual Language Teachers or General Education Teachers who would like to learn more about how to support their bilingual and/or dual language learners.
