The FY25 Bilingual Program Directors Meeting sponsored by the ISBE Multilingual / Language Development Department will take place in person at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Rosemont, September 18th-20th, 2024.
 
There is no registration fee to attend. Title III or EL EBF funds can be used to pay for travel expenses related to attending this meeting.

Wednesday, September 18th:

12:30pm: Check-in
1:00pm – 4pm: Basic orientation for new directors

Thursday, September 19th:
8:30am – 9am: Check-in
9am – 4pm: Opening General Session at 9am, concurrent sessions throughout the day.

Friday, September 20th:
8:30am – 9am: Check-in
9am – 4pm: Opening General Session at 9am, concurrent sessions throughout the day.

It is highly recommended that district administrators in charge of English learner programs register and attend this event. Up to 3 individuals from a district may participate.

Interested ROE staff as well as bilingual/ESL higher education faculty are encouraged to attend.

Breakfast and Lunch are provided (Thurs and Friday).

After the Bilingual Directors Meeting: One-on-One Appointments with ISBE Principal Consultants

Tuesday Sept 24th and Wed Sept 25th have been set aside for bilingual directors to meet with ISBE principal consultants via Zoom. There will be a separate email about how to schedule these virtual appointments. ISBE consultants will also be available for individual meetings after those dates.
