The Administrative Assistant is an important part of the administrative team as the person ensures that operations run smoothly and customers are responded to efficiently. This position, in addition to normal administrative duties, is also in charge of making sure all graduate-level courses run smoothly, from registration time to the conclusion each quarter, and acts as the liaison for students, adjunct instructors, and office personnel. This position is tasked with ensuring course files, registrations, adjunct payments, correspondence, and tuition payments are complete and recorded. Additionally, the administrative assistant handles the creation of conference files, creates a checklist for conference material packing, monitors office supplies, makes copies, and creates posters for workshops.
This is one of the most important jobs in our office, and thus, requires a keen attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and the ability to prioritize work. Other administrative duties not inclusive of this description, such as answering the telephone, answering emails, processing payments, etc., also apply.
