Free Write: Conversations, Connections & Compositions to Nourish Our Teaching Practice
Free Write is a creative space for educators to connect, generate ideas, and share inspiration through writing. Whether you already enjoy writing or have a rocky relationship with writing, you are invited to join us for one, some, or all of the Free Write sessions!
Once a month on Sunday afternoons we will get together to:
- Explore themes relevant to our lives and work as educators through a community writing process
- Examine a variety of writing forms and examples to prompt our own thinking/writing
- Engage in writing, reading aloud, discussion, and storytelling together
- Exchange ideas and encouragement
- Emerge with insights to feed our teacher spirit and refresh our practice–imagining how we might apply lessons from this community writing experience to our own culturally and linguistically diverse learning communities
Target Audience: K-12 educators
