Join this workshop as we spend the morning digging for the evidence of language growth that students show us through their writing.
- Learn how to identify clues at the word, sentence, and discourse levels that can reveal where students are in their language learning journey
- Examine writing samples at a variety of language development levels so you are ready to assess the language level of writing samples from your students and plan for their next steps
- Consider the differences between using general education rubrics versus WIDA-aligned language analysis tools
This virtual workshop will include both a live webinar and a self-paced learning module. The live webinar will last approximately 120 minutes. During the webinar you will receive access to an asynchronous learning module to be completed within two weeks. After the IRC receives your completed module, you will receive an email with a link to the evaluation.
