Supporting Newcomers in 6-12
During this event, secondary educators serving multilingual learners will:
- Discuss ways to strategically utilize heritage language without over-relying on translation alone
- Explore a variety of tools and ideas that can help to make content more comprehensible
- Receive a digital tool bank of resources to take with you
- Have time to collaboratively or independently plan and create tools
TARGET AUDIENCE: educators serving multilingual students who are newcomers 6-12
