A 2-Day Professional Development Workshop for Educators

Workshop Objectives: Participants will be able to:

  • Understand the unique strengths of SLIFE and challenges of aligning supports, tools, and instructional delivery to serve them.
  • Implement culturally responsive and trauma-informed teaching practices.
  • Utilize effective strategies for literacy development, math instruction, and social-emotional learning for SLIFE students, including exploration of the MALP framework.
  • Access and utilize relevant resources and support systems for SLIFE students and their families.

 

TARGET AUDIENCE: Educators serving Students with Limited or Interrupted Formal Education
